She started her own insurance agency, Ascent Insurance Services in October 2020…in the middle of the pandemic, where she is an independent Medicare broker. It is her great pleasure to educate people about all things Medicare and resources in the senior care community. Her network is huge!

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, Certification in Music Therapy and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration all from California State University, Long Beach.

Born in Oklahoma, she was raised in the High Desert of California. After coming to Long Beach for college, she decided to stay in Southern California. She and her husband of 41 years, James, reside in Aliso Viejo. Their greatest joys are grandsons, Noah Hudson Wenrick, 9 and Roland Carter Wenrick, 5, who live in Portland, OR with their parents.

In her spare time, she loves to read, loves old movies and Broadway musicals. She has recently joined a “Silver Sneakers” Fitness class that she is enjoying very much.

Her bucket list includes actually seeing a musical on Broadway some day and to walk the Camino de Santiago.

Something people don’t know about her: she can tie a cherry stem in a knot with her tongue!
